PDGM: The Future of HomeCare
Special session: Thursday, September 26, Alyeska Resort, Girdwood
The Patient Driven Grouping Model is a GO for January 2020. Operations and documentation will change. Understanding the CMS proposed rule isn’t enough to carry a home health organization forward successfully with the new payment and quality requirements. Agencies must work to operationalize the new reality, assessing the impact and transforming policies and practices to uphold quality and maximize reimbursement. This session will outline how PDGM will affect each department and the essential steps to help home health teams fulfill new standards for episode payment under the Patient Driven Groupings Model.

Speaker: J’non Griffin is a 30 year veteran of home care as an RN. She has experience as a field nurse, and as a director and executive with home health and hospice agencies, both large and small. J’non is certified as a Homecare Coding Specialist-Diagnosis (HCS-D). She is Certified in OASIS competency, COS-C, and in Homecare Coding Specialist-Hospice (HCS-H), Home Care Specialist-Compliance (HCS-C), and she is an AHIMA approved ICD-10-CM trainer/ambassador. She has presented several webinars and has been a nationally recognized speaker on a variety of subjects.
