Details: Dr. Holly Kirkland-Khyn, pressure injury prevention expert, UC Davis Medical Center, Sacramento, CA., has partnered with ASHNHA to support, guide and partner with you on reducing pressure injury prevention by implementing evidence-based practice on:
- Increasing our knowledge of Pre-Hospital/transfer risk factors
- Early identification: Present on Admission (POA)
- Readmission-focused: Multi-Visit Patient Population
- Pressure Injury Identification
- Staging Wounds
- Pressure Mapping
- Next Steps-Continuous Improvement
ASHNHA encourages large hospitals to send a team of 3-5 people and smaller rural hospitals send 1-2 people. There is no limit to the number of staff that attend from each facility.
Target Audience: quality staff, nursing staff, physicians
Schedule: Half-day training, October 31, 8 am to 1:30 pm
